Sweet Lemons developed from Annette Mayer’s extensive experience in well over 100 different industries over the last 30 years ranging from steel mills to bakeries, and has resulted in an outstanding reputation for quality consulting and bookkeeping services. Through these experiences Annette has learnt that no two industries are the same and that each comes with their own set of financial challenges.
Annette has expanded her passion for assisting small to medium sized businesses by employing a team of professionals who each contribute to diversify and expand the scope of services offered by Sweet Lemons.
We provide a professional service tailored to suit our client’s requirements while taking great care to foster professional and friendly relationships with our clients and industry contacts.
Our office is an open plan workspace supporting client catchups and MYOB training facilities, as well as sweet space for teamwork amongst our staff and collaborative work with clients and accountants.
We hold ourselves and our work to the highest standards with focuses on care and attention to detail to support your business by providing great books and explaining what it all means.
Our first step with every new client is to sit down and have a chat over a cup of coffee to get to know you and your business. This serves as a great way to get to know the feel of your business, your expectations and goals. We want to know what you need. The next step is discussing how we can use tools such as MYOB and other software to work towards your goals. Implementing the right systems is a major part of this process. Our services are intentionally flexible as to allow these systems and tools to be personalised to the needs of your business. Most of our hard work comes into play after these stages are complete. We have direction and goals of our own after we learn yours, and this is when we work towards them. In some cases this is when we turn a shoebox of receipts into your expense history or an integral part of your management reporting. Some of our clients join us at this next stage, but most don’t. At this point your bookkeeping is up to date, your reporting is done, your compliances are complete and now you’re asking for the next challenge; where to go from here? The tools and systems now in place within your business are providing you with everything you need to know to move forward with purpose and direction. You now know where you’ve been and can realistically aim for where you want to be. We find this aspect of our services differs the most from client to client. We also find that this is where our clients get the most from us, as the care added to the business from both sides of this equation pays off many times over.
